International Day of Women in ICT is an initiative founded with the idea of creating a global environment that will encourage and strengthen girls and youg women to consider and start a career in the growing area of informational-comunicational technologies. This day is internationally celebrated every fourth Thursday of April.

Project results: "The Week of Girl Stories in IT", as a collective initiative of Microsoft Development Center Serbia, company GoDaddy, StartIT Center, the Petlja Foundation and Digital Serbia Initiative had a goal of turning the publics attention to the greater need of including girls in IT industry and the incentive for girls to start careers in this field. Lectures, workshops and talks with successful women in IT are activities that were encouraging for more than 150 primary and high school students, 100 college students and more than 20 adult women who wanted to start a new carrer in the filed.
